Here is an interesting fact: It takes 10 glasses of water to counteract (reduce the acidity) one can of soda pop.

As a person who lives with only one mostly healthy kidney, my urologist warned me years ago to watch the amount of acidity in my diet as it could lead to kidney and urine tract infections. Maybe because of this I am more sensitive than most people but I find that I feel at my best when I eat a bunch of alkaline foods.
