Add Cheesey Flavor And B Vitamins To Foods With Nutritional Yeast

If you are vegetarian or can not handle dairy products you can use nutritional yeast to help make up for what you miss. If you are vegetarian you can be missing out on a lot of your B vitamins and if you can not handle dairy products you may be missing the cheese flavor on things. By using nutritional yeast you can take care of both of these problems. The yeast is grown on sugar cane and beet molasses and once it has grown heat is used to kill it and then it is washed and most brands have more B vitamins added to  it then it is packaged for use as a nutritional yeast.

So for folks that follow a vegetarian diet they can get the B vitamins they may be lacking by adding this into their foods and for folks that can’t eat cheese, they can use this sprinkled on foods to give them a cheesy flavor. Nutritional yeast has a sort of cheddar flavor that is really good on popcorn, eggs, broccoli and other vegetables and you could even make a sauce with it to put on burgers or pour on fries.

Even if you are not vegetarian or don’t avoid dairy products you could still add this to foods for the B Vitamins or as flavoring that has no saturated fat and does have plenty of the B vitamins and even some potassium and iron as you can see in the picture of the label. Put it in an empty Parmesan shaker and use it on anything you would like a little cheesy flavor on. Its good on  pasta shaken on soup and rice and many other foods.
