Former Chef website shares an excellent basic marinara sauce recipe. This recipe is not a canning recipe but it does freeze well.

The Homestead Survival ( us ) tries to share a variety of food storage methods in the articles we feature.

I use my food saver to remove oxygen by vacum sealing my sauces so they are less likely to become freezer burned.

You can freeze marinara sauce in a mason jar but I personally would leave at least three inches of head space to allow for expansion.

Some times having the right tools can make any job easier and actually can save you money in the long run.
