Children's Hospital Had 540 Admissons Enterovirus Yesterday

This enterovirus is making children sick in a lot of states. A hospital in Cincinnati  had 540 admissions on Friday. Now that school is back in session it is probably going to spread even faster. It sounds very frightening. I read one story of a 13-year-old that had what seemed like a cold and just a short while later was unconscious from it. Added to the fact that this is hitting kids extremely hard, flu season is just around the corner. I think if the flu starts and hits kids that have this virus already it might be even worse. I have been looking for anything they might be used to help prevent my grand kids catching these and I am thinking I will stock up on Hibiclens. I figured if I was worried and looking some of you all might be as well. Even without all that is going on right now I really think I need to add some to my storage. You never know, I may need some really bad some day and at least I will have it.

According to www.hibigeebies.com/clinical_information.asp it is gentle enough for sensitive skin, kills germs on contact and can keep work for 24 hours because it bonds to the skin. They said it can even kill mrsa and staph germs. So while it seems sad to have to use it, I think I will feel a little safer when we all do use it to wash our hands, especially during the week when all the kids are in school. It is supposed to be really good for folks that use the gym as well. I think if a child has a compromised respiratory system they might need something like this even more.

Enterovirus — EV-D68 Is in 10 states so far.
