Make Your Own Color Changing Fireplace Pine Cones

This simple creative project of how to make your own color changing fireplace, outdoor fire pit or campfire Pine cones is a fun way to delight friends and family.

To make the flames glow in new and interesting colors while the pine cone burns about five to nine minutes to the delight of onlookers you need to moisten and apply simple ingredients such as table salt, Epsom salt and such. You will need a colorant to make your flames glow the color you choose but for most colors you can find the ingredients in your home.

Yellow – Table Salt

Yellow-Green – Borax

White – Epsom Salts

Green – Boric Acid
