How to Cook in a Bean Pot

Nice tutorial for making baked beans in a bean pot. Urban Overalls shares a little history about the bean pot and it usage. I have never used my bean pot in the oven, I usually make my baked beans in an iron skillet but I will give the bean pot a try for them the next time I make them. What I do use the bean pot for is cooking beans. It is the absolute perfect cooking method for pintos and other beans that you just want to cook and eat with cornbread or to make refried beans or just cooked beans. I have cooked beans in pressure cookers, (not good, they always taste raw) Big stock pot, they taste ok, but the best beans come from the bean pot. They cook long and slow and almost melt together and all of the flavor of the bean can be tasted.
