Homemade Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey

Many homesteaders have decided to make their own homemade fireball cinnamon whiskey after the commercial brand of Fireball whiskey has been found to have propylene glycol (used in the making of rocket fuel and fireworks) in it’s ingredients. While the ingredient is considered “generally recognized as safe” by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to be used in food and beverages – many people are striving to remove as many chemicals as they can from their diet and even their beverages.

Material and ingredients needed:

  • Wide mouth mason jar

  • 4-6 Cinnamon sticks

  • 3/4 oz. Simple syrup

  • Small handful of chiles

Place cinnamon sticks and simple syrup (3/4 oz.) into wide mouth mason jar. Fill mason jar leaving two inches of head space from the top. Infuse for five days then add a small handful of chiles. Infuse for two additional days to give it that extra kick of flavor.  Strain and drink responsibly. You can see how to make it in the video below. You could even gift these to any friends that may like it. There is still plenty of time to make it for all the oliday parties that are coming up too. You will get all kinds of requests for the recipe once your guests get a taste of homemade.
