How To Make Your Own Candle Wicks

I have read many places that when your candle are through you can melt the left over wax from them and make a new candle.I always wondered what you would do for wicks since the candle being done was because you ran out of wick to start with. I know you can buy the wicks but if you are using left over candle wax why not make your own wicks to keep it cheap. The only candle making experience I really have is from when we made candles in 4H club and those were beeswax candles the we made by dipping a wick into melted bees wax what I still remember feeling like a million and one times. It took forever to make one candle. But using leftover candle wax you can make a candle in a jar or use silicone molds and Red Ted Art shares how to make your own candle wicks with butcher’s twine, borax and melted wax. While she doesn’t say you can use left over wax for it, I don’t see why not so I will give it a try. It would be nice to make a couple of candles out of strictly left over wax and supplies that I already have on hand.
