Make Ahead Muffin Mix

Grab the recipe for this make ahead muffin mix and you can mix the basic muffin mix and have enough dry mix stored to make 8 dozen muffins, 1 dozen at a time. This is great because it will save so much time when you want to make a quick batch of muffins for an unexpected quest or even just a craving for muffins.

This is a basic muffin mix that has all the dry ingredients in it and you can make plan muffins simply by adding an egg, milk and butter or oil. Taste Of Home shares the recipe for 4 batches of muffin mix, I  doubled the recipe for 4 batches because I like to make it ahead and store it. Then they have 8 more flavor muffins using this muffin mix. Choose from banana, blueberry, cranberry pecan, apricot cherry, cappuccino, carrot raisin, apple cheese and rhubarb orange.

I also like to make chocolate chocolate chip by adding 2 tablespoons cocoa and 3/4 cup chocolate chips ( also good with peanut butter or butterscotch chips). So these you go. Many different muffins you can make from this one basic make ahead muffin mix that once you make it will go from plain muffins to pretty much any flavor you may like to make.
