Garden Betty website shares a simple & quick way to preserve an abundant harvest of tomatoes all at once that you may not have time to create recipes right away.

The type of tomatoes you grow may be when and how your tomatoes become ripe.

What’s the difference between “indeterminate” and “determinate” tomatoes?

Determinates tomatoes from the plant ripen at approximately the same time (usually over period of 1- 2 weeks).

Indeterminate tomatoes will grow and produce fruit until killed by frost.  Indeterminates will bloom, set new fruit and ripen fruit at different times  throughout the season.
