Skin Moisturizing Salve Recipe

This homemade skin moisturizing salve recipe  is incredibly popular because of it’s wonderful ability to cure dry , itchy, patch of redness, peeling, irritated  skin.  The warmth of rubbing in the salve will help it to become  easy to spread and deep penetrating as well as long lasting.

You can add essential oils (10 drops) at the end of this recipe to have additional benefits.

Geranium essential oil – Eczema

Lavender essential oil – Scarring & Relaxing

Grapefruit essential oil – Uplifting Mood

Calendula essential oil – Ultra Healing

Ingredients:

4 oz Beeswax

8 oz Coconut Oil

1/2 oz Shea Butter

1/2 oz Cocoa Butter

The Homestead Survival

Directions:

Using a double boiler slowly melt the Beeswax
over low heat until fully melted. Then add
Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter and Coconut Oil
while stirring continuously. Take a small
sample out and let it cool to room
temperature to test consistency. If it is
too liquid add more beeswax, if it is too
thick add a bit more coconut oil.  You can store salve in a small glass mason jar , a metal tin or any clean recycled container.
