Tiny Home Pilot Program Proposed For Poor and Homeless

Senator Raymond Lesniak has sponsored bill S2571 which will offer a three year Tiny Home Pilot Program Proposed For Poor and Homeless which will award grants to build housing developments consisting of homes with no more than 300 square feet of floor space.

This New Jersey program would be administered by the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency and would cost $5 million. The bill has been introduced in the Senate and referred to Senate Community and Urban Affairs Committee. Do you think homesteaders could find a way to build these tiny homes more inexpensively ?
