Check out this 12 x 12 cabin made with pallets to see how innovative some folks can be. Kevin gives us a tour of the cabin he is completing that is mostly built out of pallets. He is using all sorts of re-claimed materials along with the pallets.
He has some old decking and some tin roofing. He used some lumber that was destined for the land fill. Then he stained his porch with used motor oil to provide protection from the weather. He has his rain barrel set up. Inside for the ceiling he bought some cedar wood and I can bet it smells wonderful inside there. He says he started off building what was going to be a chicken coop but it started shaping up so nice he changed his mind and decided to make it his man cave or cabin. It is turning out well.
Once it is insulated and he gets a heater in there it would be a nice office or studio or even a guest room. He has even added a planter for strawberries, a bench for the porch and a table inside all make out of pallets too.
