Sticks and Bones- A Praise of Bone Broth

Bone broth is a great way to feed your own bones. If a cow spends years getting the minerals its bones need from the foods that it eats then just like we can get protein from eating the meat of the cow and food for our bones by extracting those minerals from the cows bones or other animal for that matter.

I love to make bone broth with veggie scraps. When ever I peel potatoes or carrots I save all the peels in a freezer bag in the freezer and when I make bone broth I add all those in. Why buy cans of what looks like faintly colored  water that is supposed to be broth when you can make your own much cheaper and know that you are getting every bit of goodness from those bones. Artemis herbals has a recipe that will make some great broth.
