A 1902 Recipe For Apple Sugar

This is such a neat recipe, from 1902 Germany it is candy twist made from apple juice or cider called apple sugar. There is not much in the recipe just the juice or cider and sugar but the candy looks like it would have so much more, makes me wonder if you could add a little cinnamon to it.

I love that with everyone screaming “Sugar is toxic” and what not as if it was something new we were eating to see a recipe from 1902 shows the human sweet tooth has some really deep roots lol.
