Here is a great tutorial on adding a heated floor in a bathroom. Since the heating will be under the tile this is a project to consider when you will be adding a new bathroom or redoing the floor in your existing bathroom. Imagine how wonderful it would be to step out of the shower onto a nice warm floor. This is a really great project to do especially if you will be laying a tile floor as tiles can be quite cold. Family Handyman walks you through installing the heated floor. It looks fairly simple from the tutorial. You lay a heat mat before the tile and according to the tutorial once it is laid and the tile installed it is safe from any damage so it isn’t something you would need to replace.I would like this in my bathroom, I think it would actually make the whole room warmer which would be really nice on winter mornings.
