Kale chips are easy to make and they are so good. You can eat them just as they are like any other snack chip or sprinkle them over salad, side dishes and soups. They have a nice roasted flavor after being in the oven and I especially love to crumble them in my soup.
When I make them I prepare the leaves and then in a large bowl I add 2 tlbs olive oil, a half teaspoon of garlic powder and 1 tablespoon parmesan cheese. Then I put the torn into 3 inch pieces of kale in the bowl and toss to coat. Lay them on a cookie sheet and bake at 400 till the edges are just barely starting to turn tan.
You need to let them cool on the pan before removing as they will be stuck when they come out of the over but once cool they release from the pan. Store in an airtight container or bag.
Once you have tried kale chips, you might be very excited about planting it in your garden so you have a nice fresh supply.
