Now that spring is here. The ants are coming. Soon Kitchens everywhere will be crawling with them.I guess they get hungry in spring or maybe its because the ground is too wet. I don’t know the exact reason but I know they are coming and I know what works to get rid of them at my house.

Things you will need.

2 Tablespoons – 20 mule team borax
2 Tablespoons – Jelly, (strawberry seems to work best)
jar lids ( I just keep the ones from peanut butter for this.)
1 Teaspoon – water

Mix 2 tablespoons of the borax with 2 tablespoons of the jelly and add a teaspoon of water to thin it a little.
Once it is mixed together well, pour a little in a jar lid and set it where you see the ants. I have even just poured a small blob onto the back corners of my counter.

   The way it works is the ants will eat this mixture and carry it back to the nest to feed all the other hungry ants. They will also tell the others about this great food supply so more will eat it and share with the nest.

   They will die from eating it. It takes about 4 or 5 days of them carrying this home before you finally see no more ants. So although you may not think it is working it really is. Just be patient and keep the mixture in the lids and wait it out. 4 or 5 days is way better than all spring.
