Available farm grants for women. For single women or even female partners looking to homestead or farm, here is information on grants that are available for women farmers. There are grants for helping with a down payment to purchase a farm and get you started and to help transfer land from retiring farmers to new farmers starting out.
There are even government loans for purchasing a farm and operating expenses. If you are already farming and want to be certified organic there are grants that can help pay or defer the costs of the certification. There are even loans for women with small businesses. There are other grants and loans available as well. Most of these are for women/socially disadvantaged farmers.
