If you are looking for an unusual idea for a chicken coop/tractor check out this train engine design. This is so cute, it would look cute in any back yard. It doesn’t look like a chicken coop and it would look pretty neat in the back with the kids swing set and other backyard things. Almost like yard decor rather than a chicken coop. Steve shares how he built it on Community Chickens. I really like it and he even put a smoke stack on it that he can drop treats through to the chickens. He had someone weld the cattle panels where they connected to make it super durable and safe for his birds. He recycled kitty litter tubs into nesting boxes and since it is also a chicken tractor it has an axle and hitch so a couple of people can roll it around to a new spot once in a while. This is a super cute chicken coop/tractor and it would fit in just about any backyard as long as your area allows backyard chickens.
