Build a Mosaic Bird Bath for Your Homestead

This step by step tutorial of how to build a mosaic bird bath for your homestead is simple to make and creates an ongoing safe water source for wildlife including birds, butterflies, bees and even squirrels.

This is a tutorial on how to make your very own mosaic bird bath. Buying mosaic decorations can be expensive and lacks personal flair. This guide takes that into account, offering a cheap and easy way to create a bird bath that will look store bought, but is actually a do it yourself project.

For this tutorial, you will need the following materials:

– Terra Cotta Saucer
– Terra Cotta Sealer
– Glass Tiles
– Water-Resistant Tile Adhesive
– Sanded Grout
– Outdoor Penetrating Grout Sealer
– Foam Paintbrush
– Paper Towels
– Tile Cutters
– Plastic Knife
– Rubber Gloves
– Soft Cloths
– Sponge
– Safety Glasses
– Dust Mask

One of the great things about this project is that it requires a bit of time between steps so the bath can dry before you move on to the next step. This means you don’t have to do everything at once and can take your time putting the bird bath together.
