Build A Pine Straw Hand Baler That Can Work For Hay

If you have a lot of pine trees on your land or somewhere you can collect the pine straw, here are plans to build a hand baler so you can make bales out of the pine straw. Landscapers use a lot of it so you could probably sell it. You can also use this baler to bale hay.

Oak Hill Homestead says they cut and bale their own hay since they don’t have a tractor and they built and use this baler for their hay and mixed cut grasses so I guess if you grow hay for you animals you could use it as well. This could go places that big machinery couldn’t and I am sure it would cost a lot less that buying machines to bale. They provide a few different links to plans for a baler. Some are made like the one in the picture and there are others that are built to work horizontally. If you have hay or pine straw  that you would like to bale with out an expensive piece of machinery this may work for you.
