Check out this video of a backyard swimming pool that was made from a trash dumpster. Stefan Beese took a 40 yard dumpster and turned into an awesome pool that sits in his backyard. He build a deck around it and it looks great. He says you can buy a dumpster this size for 1500 to 2500, I am guessing that would be in his area. The price could be more or less elsewhere. This is a great way to add a pool to your yard and especially great if your yard is small or you plan to move someday because you can take it with you. Watch the video on Nola.
