How to Build a Chicken Plucker

If you raise chickens for meat then you know what a job plucking the chickens can be. Achorn farm has a tutorial written by Maine Man on building a chicken plucker using parts he found around the homestead. Pretty neat way to get the job done. They said “I caught, killed, and plucked seventeen 8-10lb birds in just 40 minutes by myself, not too shabby. It cost about $200 to build. Without my extreme frugalness it would have cost closer to $400. That still is not bad considering similar factory built models start around $1200.”  That sounds like a really good investment if you raise chickens for meat.
