How To Build A Dumbwaiter Elevator Project

If you have storage space up in your garage or shed check out this tutorial for adding an elevator to help get heavy items up there to store them. Rather than trying to climb stairs with heavy totes or boxes build this diy elevator and just raise those heavy items on it.

BFK shares the instructions on Instructables so you can build one for your needs. This simple dumbwaiter is a movable frame in a shaft, dropped by a rope on a pulley. This would be so nice for all those boxes that have to come down for a camping trip or Christmas decorations or what ever you store in yours that is awkward to get up and down from the storage area. He also shows you how to put a floor in a loft style shed to make more storage space.
