Build Your Own Jelly Cupboard

Build this gorgeous jelly cupboard and then display it with pride. It can hold your canned goods or dishes or pretty much what ever use you may have for it. I love the mesh doors so you can display what ever is inside. This would make a very pretty storage cupboard for towels and wash cloths. It would also look good with all of your flour, corn meal, rice and beans and similar dry goods in large glass jars inside of it.

Build Your Own Jelly Cupboard

The free plan for the jelly cupboard is from Ana White and this one was done by Patrick. I love the way he distressed it. He gave a tip on this that I think is very neat. He said “for a distressed finish with rubbed dark edges, spray paint with cheap black spray paint the edges you plan to distress. Paint over, and then sand back to reveal the black.” What a great idea, especially with this silvery gray color.

There are a lot of examples of this cupboard that other folks have made, some have solid doors instead of the mesh which may appeal to some. Make sure to read the comments on the page where the plans are because Patrick gives more tips there.  I want like three of these for different rooms in my house.
