This step by step process is actually a lot easier than I ever would have expected and is a wonderful addition to any building.
A green roof or living roof is a roof of a building that is partially or completely covered with vegetation and a growing medium, planted over a waterproofing membrane. It may also include additional layers such as a root barrier and drainage and irrigation systems as quoted by Wikipedia
• Reductions in energy costs, living green roofs help lower the temperature of the building during warm months
• Improved air quality because living green roofs gather ,absorb and process pollutants
• Contributing to biodiversity by providing wildlife habitat for insects and birds
• Increase green space in urban environments
