Build a one wheeled pack. When it comes to hiking it is very important to keep the weight of your backpack to a minimum depending on what distance you will be hiking. However, if you are planning an extended, overnight stay, then you can count on a lot of additional weight. This means you can expect to have to carry upwards to 20kg on your back. This can be extremely uncomfortable the longer you have to hike. For these times you could really benefit from a wheeled cart that will carry load for you.
This Do It Yourself project is the perfect wheeled cart that is both lightweight and extremely strong to handle the heavy terrain often found during hiking. It is large enough to hold a large fresh water jug, fully loaded backpack and a duffle bag. Everything is tied down tightly using bungee cords.
