Grab the free plans and build your own sawhorse table and benches. Meant for outdoors I feel these would be pretty nice indoors as well. I like the rustic look and wouldn’t mind them in my kitchen at all. From the article it seems that these are not super expensive to make, I am hoping I can talk my husband into making a set for us. I like the bench better than the seat on a picnic table because you can adjust how close to the table you want to be on these benches. The table looks hefty enough to hold up in a family room with the kids and their play doh and other toys and games and because it has that rustic look I wouldn’t worry too much about crayon and water paints on it.
This build is from Shanty 2 Chic and the plans are available from Ana White. Between the two sites you can see multiple photos of the building of both the table and the bench as they were done at different times but links are provided on Ana’s site to see the other photos and to read about the build on Shanty 2 Chic’s site.
