For anyone that would like to build a canoe this is an awesome tutorial with a multitude of pictures of the process. You will see pictures of the building from the starting with the form to the canoe in the water. Steve Ambrose from The Woodshed shares his pictures and instructions from the building of his canoe. He says that once you have the form and some experience that he at least could finish a canoe in 8 to 10 weeks just in evenings and weekends. I love the way he varnished the inside of the canoe so you really see the wood inside. He also provides loads of links to places for tools you may not find at your local hardware store and other sources on building canoes. There are also links for marine hardware and wood you also won’t find at the hardware. He also has more links to posts with even more detail on the steps of building this canoe so if you want to see more of his construction process be sure to check those links.
