Build Your Own Potting Bench With Reclaimed Materials

Check out this amazing tutorial on building a potting bench using reclaimed materials. By using reclaimed wood and old windows you can build your self a potting bench very inexpensively. I love the homemade re-purposed yet super sturdy and useful look of this and I am really digging the display of mason jars on it to really make it look homesteady.  LZ from The Sunny Umbrella shared this tutorial on Remodelaholic. They did spend some on the mosaic tile top but I love the way it turned out and you could leave it plain or paint or stain it to suit you.

This would be so nice in a greenhouse or even on the patio or deck. If you uses it on the patio it could serve double duty as a bar when you have people over for barbeque or just for beer around the fire pit. It is a nice potting bench that you could probably finish in a weekend and that would last for years.

If you don’t have reclaimed wood and old windows but maybe you do have a picnic table that is no longer used check out how to Turn a Picnic Table into a Potting Bench for another idea to build a potting bench.
