Both are kind of involved in making but here is a recipe for cajun crispy fried onions that will supply all that taste with a lot less work. Everything is tossed into a gallon freezer bag and then fried a few at a time. So no careful slicing to get perfect circles or strategic cutting to open but not wreck the whle onion, just super delicious fried onions.
