This Camper Van Remodel Conversion into RV DIY Project is detailed as he goes through building it for 5 months.
People like the idea of living mobile, but they find the feel inside of a lot of campers unappealing. It does not feel like a home to them, but stuff thrown in and set up as best as possible. So, some may want to create their own layout, planning out every inch of the interior and designating spots to create electrical outlets and running pipes. For this project we used basic materials from home and home improvement stores instead of any special, expensive goods from motorhome stores. What you will create is a homey feeling setting from your mind.
Getting an empty moving van, repair the floor and walls and remove the rust out. These are some things that you can put in for a tight spot. A small fridge/freezer, 70-L water pressure tank with heater, a 200-watt solar power charging system, a 240-V mains socket with a power distribution board, and LED lights for the ceiling. Outside of the power factor, there is the need for a shower and toilet, which can fit at one corner, but a private door is based on how big the van is.
Get also a small working desk, a gas cooker and small sink, a single bed that folds along one wall (or a hammock), and a small electric fan.
The van’s interiors don’t have to be the annoying metal also. They can be lined with wooden panels for a better feeling. And the path from home to driver’s seat is open to move around. Just like that, you have a camper right there outside your front door.
