Cinder Block Raised Garden Bed DIY Project

This simple Cinder Block Raised Garden Bed DIY Project is great way to create a taller raised garden bed for smaller financial investment.  Research to find the closest manufacturer of cinder blocks and they will sell you their seconds for half price most of the time with very slight imperfections/chips.

Add wood bark, twigs and branches to the first layer in deeper garden beds to help retain water and create a natural fertilizer as wood decomposes.

As an added bonus, you can insert poles into the holes in the cinder blocks, fill with gravel to create a trellis for climbing plants to grow up upon. A standard 8×4 raised bed stacked 3 with cinder blocks high that will equal a rough estimate of 54 cinder blocks.
