A Coop In A Tent And Deep Litter Chicken Coops

I love this chicken made from a utility tent. The hens look super happy and comfortable in it. The author also talks about deep litter method of keeping chickens where you layer dry matter like staw dried weeds and even paper grocery bags that all breakdown over time from the chicken manure. They you add more dry and the chicken sscratch in there and bug are drawn to the composts litter on the bottom so the chickens get to eat the bugs supplying protien to their diet. I find the deep litter method very interesting. Read all about both on Great Group Activities by Barbara Berst Adams.
