With the holidays quickly making their way here, I am starting to make decisions on what kind of candy and cookies I will be making this year. I usually make an assortment of different fudge recipes to mix and match and give as gifts. I also make other candies and cookies to share with family. This recipe is one of my favorites.
Homemade buttercreams are so delicious and anyone with a sweet tooth just loves them. The thing I like most about them is that you can make them to match anyones favorite flavor simply by changing the flavor of extract you put in the recipe. While they are made with cream cheese so they have some flavor already, the extract is vanilla usually and while vanilla is good my absolute favorite is raspberry.
You can make them lemon, orange, amaretto or any flavor you like just by switching the extract and this makes them a perfect choice when making gifts because they become individualized and that makes them special. I usually triple or quadruple the recipe when making them for the holidays so that I can gift a lot of them. Land O’ Lakes shares this recipe.
