This is a neat diy project to make a circular log holder out of quikrete. It is very modern looking. The circle of concrete sits on a wooden base. I love the clean lines and round is a great shape for a log holder. They don’t have to be stacked a certain way to keep them from falling over. just put them in the circle and they will slide into the available space.
This tutorial id from DIY Pete on Ryobi Nation. Pete says he used aluminum flashing and melamine to make the mold for his log holder. Quikrete to make the log holder. He finished the concrete by applying a few coats of water based sealer. He says you will need almost three bags of the quikrete but that the whole project is affordable and doesn’t take long to complete.
You can make one this summer and have it all ready to go for cold weather. This might even be good to hold rolled towels by the pool, hot tub or if you are lucky enough to have a large bathroom it could hold rolled towels there too.
