DIY Small Space Work Bench Or Kitchen Storage Island

This is an awesome diy project making a work bench or storage island for small spaces weather it is in an apartment or just in a small kitchen or work room. The project was done to provide a work bench for an apartment where BlairO could carry out some diy projects and have a place to store  tools, screws, nuts, bolts, and nails etc.  While I think it is a super idea for that purpose

I also saw it as a kitchen island workspace with storage underneath for a small kitchen like in an apartment and some small homes. I love that the modular sections are on wheels and roll under the bench out of the way, yet have space inside them to store tools  or kitchen items. The use of screwing canning jar lids to the underside of one of them so you can store screw and nuts and such inside the jars and just screw them into their lids for storage I think would also work really well using baby food jars and lids for spices. I metal rod across  the inside of one of them with some S hooks would hold skillets and pans.

Either reason you would build it for or even if you built it for both reasons it would be a great addition to a small space. If you were planning to use it as a kitchen work space you could actually trim a piece of counter top to fit or go with the way it is for a more rustic look.
