Dry Your Clothes In The Dryer With Free Heat

Here is a tutorial that shows how to modify your clothes dryer to use the heat that builds up in the attic to dry your clothes in the dryer. By doing this your electricity usage will be less because the dryer will only have to tumble the clothing, it won’t need to heat as well.  This is such a neat idea and energy saver.

It can only be done with an electric dryer so if you have a gas dryer you won’t be able to make this modification. If yours is electric you can dry the clothes all summer just by putting the dryer on air dry and letting all that heat from the attic dry them. Dr Chill shares this tutorial on Instructables.
