The Easiest Berries To Grow

If you would like to have your own berries but are unsure which are easiest to grow, this article will help you decide. These are the 7 easiest berries to grow. While you probably won’t want to grow all of them, you could easily grow two or three different berries to have a nice variety. Most of these fruit in the summer but red raspberries will bear fruit late and into the fall.

The Easiest Berries To Grow

Most of the 7 will also do  really well in containers do if you have limited yard space or only a balcony plant the berries that do well in containers. These berries are pretty hardy and will do well as long as you give them the sun they like and acid soil for blueberries. You may need to put bird netting over them when the fruit comes on if you wish to have any other wise the birds will help themselves and they usually don’t wait for the fruit to be completely ripe, so if you do the fruit will be gone when you go to pick it unless you use the netting.

Most of these will freeze well so you can enjoy them year rounds. All of them can be thrown into your morning smoothie straight from the freezer. Berries almost all contain antioxidants and nutrients so grow some of your own.
