Next time you have a raging sweet tooth or one of the kids needs a treat for the class tomorrow and its already 8 pm make a batch of the fast butterscotch no bake haystacks and solve the problem in less than a half hour.
They have peanuts, chow mein noodles and butterscotch and other flavor chips. Shugary Sweets shares the recipe. I have had the chocolate haystacks and they are also very fast to make and very tasty but I really love butterscotch and I need to try them this way. These would be cute to put in little treat bags if you will have a Halloween party with children. I think almost all kids like haystacks. Just make sure there will be no child with peanut allergy attending.
This is a good recipe for when it is warm and you don’t want to turn on the oven to make a dessert and they go well as a treat in lunch bags and boxes. The only thing that I would change about this recipe is that I would double or triple it because I know they would be scarfed up in minutes. Everyone loves butterscotch and peanuts and haystacks at my house.
