A chicken coop can be bland with its surroundings, especially if there is a garden that goes around. A good thing to grow there to expand the garden’s space and give it an aesthetically pleasing look is to grow rising vines. Vines in the coop are good because they provide chickens shade and protection from the air for any hungry birds. These vines can be maintained to grow wherever you want and you can keep them in place with zip ties. Trellises by the coop can also be useful. Here are some types of vines you can consider to grow.

Grape vines are a great addition to the garden because they are easy to grow and doesn’t need to maintained a lot. Grapes can be picked and fed or can be used to make jelly, wine, and raisins. One large vine can live for a few decades and carry nearly 20 pounds of grapes in the high season.

Other vines to grow are the Hops, but they have to be maintained carefully because they grow quickly all around to cover the garden. If you can do it, use the hops to make homemade beer.

Honeysuckle is heat tolerant and are attractions to pollinators and hummingbirds. The colors vary when they bloom.

Of course, there is the traditional Rose vine, but are not that easy to grow.

You can also grow Gourds, Peas, and Cucumber vines to fill the chicken coop and garden with a wonderful variety.
