Grape Jelly Quick Easy Homemade Canning Recipe is a delicious way to use your fruit garden harvest that is preserved to enjoy all year long as you open a new jar each month.
Jelly comes from fruit juice and is clear and smooth while jam comes from the fruit’s pulp and is less stiff. Here is a quick way to make grape jelly fast at home. Knowing the difference is easy to confuse, but the best form is the smoother, clearer form. Get the following ingredients: two cups of bottled unsweet grape juice, 3.5 cups of sugar, and a 3 oz pack of liquid pectin.
Ingredients:
~
2 cups bottled unsweetened grape juice
3 and 1⁄2 cups sugar
1 (3 ounce) package liquid pectin
~
First, mix the grape juice and sugar in a pot and bring to a boil while stirring. Pour in the pectin and keep on stirring for another minute. Then, remove from the heat and cut off any foam forming on the top with a large spoon. Next, pour in the hot jelly into jars, all sterilized and freshly warm, with at 1/2 inch space from the top and wipe cleanly. Cover them with metal lids and place the bands over to tighten it. Let it sit in boiling water for another 5 minutes before removing and cooling.
This takes no more than 30 minutes and makes up to 2 pints worth of jelly, enough to spread on sandwiches or make dip for different crackers. Grape jelly is a childhood snack that is delicious and has been passed on down generation to generation. You can still find pre-made jelly in stores, but for those who like to keep their stuff mostly homemade, this is a quick way to create delicious goo for the family.
