How To Grow Your Own Quinoa

According to Myfolia you can grow quinoa (pronounced Keen-Wa) in zones 3 through 10 but does best in cooler temps. That includes a lot of the US which is great because quinoa is super nutritious and high in protein so it is a great grain for vegetarians to eat,it is also gluten free for all the folks that are gluten intolerant. It is nice to know we can grow it ourselves. We like to cook it for breakfast and sprinkle with brown sugar. It has a nutty taste and is very satisfying keeps you feeling full longer than other types of breakfast cereals.
Gardening Blog tells us how to grow it and Wikipedia has a nutritional chart to show all the values of quinoa.
