Growing Bush Beans Helpful Tips

           When planting beans do you choose the bush type or the pole type. I like to plant some of both. I really like the pole beans because they have beans for almost all of the summer. I can go out and pick enough for to make for dinner every other day so we have fresh all summer long. The bush bean is the one I think is best for canning or freezing because they tend to all come at the same time so you get a lot of beans instead of just tonight’s dinner beans.

         Weekend Gardener shares a bunch of helpful tips on bush beans and says if you start seeds every two weeks then you can have beans pretty much all summer but in big batches for putting up.

The bushes are also very well suited to crowded conditions, they don’t mind so if you have a small garden you can really pack the beans plants in it.
