Making homemade apricot amaretto jam that you can spread on toast, biscuits or scones and English muffins and even spoon onto ice cream. It is made with Royal Blenheim apricots because while they may look a little ugly, they have the absolute best taste in apricots.
You can make some of this delicious jam with the prize winning recipe that Hitchhiking To Heaven shares. Adding the amaretto just takes this jam over the top in flavor. The jam would be perfect for thumbprint jam cookies. It looks like it would be pretty tasty on ice cream too, judging from the picture. You will need about three pounds of the apricots to make this recipe and you will end up with four half pint jars of jam.
If you can get lots of these apricots to make jam with, a jar of it would make a really nice addition to a gift basket when you need one. IÂ need to watch for these apricots so I can make some homemade apricot amaretto jam because this stuff looks delicious.
