This Homemade Beeswax Coconut Oil Scented Candle Project
Scented candles are a nice addition to a home because of the positive smell it would give to any room. Some buy it premade, other make it at home because it is easy to do.
It is a more natural product than canned air freshener, or chemical perfume. To make this homemade interesting gift, get cups of natural beeswax and coconut oil each, essential oil (of choice), a wide mouth pint mason jar, and wicks.
Cut the beeswax, drop in the coconut oil, and mix it in a pan. Have water boiling in a pot and place the pan over the pot so the heat comes through the pan to melt the wax and oil into a complete liquid. Then, add plenty of drops(at least 50) of any essential oil of choice. Afterwards, stick the wood inside the mix and make sure it is completely covered. Look at the length of the wood piece and the jar and snap off the part in which the height is right.
After that, pour slowly a thin mix, about ½ inch, of the freshly created candle wax. Simply, jab the wood downward into the wax so it can stay upward while pouring the rest of the candle mix. Let it cool and the wood will sit straight in the wax. This should produce two small candles to place in two different places.
Enjoy and take in the sweet scents that can fulfill the house.
