This Homemade Bottle Cap Glazed Table DIY Project is a great way to upgrade and old piece of furniture using beer and soda pop bottle caps into a colorful design.
When you entertain often, you have tons of beer or soda pop bottle caps that are thrown away in the the recycling bin. You can spruce up your entertainment area, making it look more like a game room, by utilizing all the beer and soda pop bottle caps to create a bottle caps table.
All the materials you will need are:
• Beer and soda pop bottle caps
• Table
• Wood
• Nails
• Black paint
• Gloss and Hardener
• Glaze
• Paint brush
Measure the size of your table so that you can purchase wood for the frame. The thickness of the wood should be a little higher than the height of the caps.
Once you make the frame around the top of your table using the wood and nails, paint inside the framed area, with the black paint.
You can then add your beer or soda pop bottle caps, making a pattern inside the framed area. You can use the same brand of beer or mix and match different types, creating a pattern of your choice.
I usually prefer making the outer pattern first, bordering the frame, and then filling up the inside. To make it look more uniformed, use beer caps from the same brand of beer for this.
Now you are ready to apply the gloss coat. Mix the gloss with the hardener and pour it on the table, until the mixture is the same level with the table frame.
Let it sit for a day or two so that it completely dries and then coat it evenly with the glaze coat, using the paint brush.
Sit back and enjoy your masterpiece!
