Cooking your meals during a campout can be accomplished in a number of ways depending on which way you want to go. There is the traditional roaring campfire and cooking on the open fire on a steel grate, use a commercially made propane stove or even a portable charcoal grill. All of which can be easily used and will produce an amazing cooked meal in no time.

However, for those who like camping a little differently, you can make make your own compact camp stove for about half the cost of a commercial cook stove.

Materials needed:

6″ x 6″ x 6″ galvanized Tee duct

6″ galvanized duct collar

6″ galvanized damper

6″ round duct cap

4″ x 4″ x 8″ Step Flashing

4 – 60D Hot Galvanized Polebarn nails

#10 x 1/2″ phillips head metal pan screws

#8 flat washers

Once it is finished all you would need to do is light a small fire inside and in no time you will be able to cook your food.
