Don’t you just love the smell of fresh baked bread with all that warm yeasty aroma. I know I do. I also love English muffins so when I saw the recipe for this homemade English muffin bread from The Bread Monk, I knew I would be spreading the word about it. It looks so good and since it only has good ingredients and no preservatives you just know it will be delicious.
Add in all those spaces for butter and honey to get into and this bread is a winner. All of that and you don’t even have to knead this bread. Matter of fact you barely need to stir it. I love to make cinnamon rolls but there is the kneading and the waiting while it raises, then rolling it out and adding the center and rolling and cutting and then waiting while it raises again. They are delicious but they take some work and time.
Now this English muffin bread is stirred only till it is combined and then put straight into loaf pans and only need to rise in the loaf pan and they go right into the oven. So you can have two loaves baked in about an hour an a half after only stirring the ingredients and putting the batter into the pans. That is the extent of the work you have to do. The rest of the time is for the rise and the baking time. I can’t wait to make this,
I am hoping if it will freeze well. If so I might make 4 loaves and freeze two for another time. If you decide to make English muffin bread you might want to make this Honey Butter Ambrosia, It is the absolute best thing to put on English muffin because all those little holes get filled with it and the ambrosia is so good you will want to eat it with a spoon. So if you make both you will be rewarding yourself in a very delicious way.
